Solitude In The Dunes

If you look closely you can see my footprints weaving through the dunes below. I really like this portion of the Eureka Sand Dunes as I've yet run across anyone else while i've been there. I've only seen footprints on occasion.

I really like the "areial" look to this image. These dunes were a couple hundred(?) feet below me. Felt like a thousand while hiking up here though! ;)

This is really nice Cory, love the tones and textures. The main line through the diagonal of the image is strong and makes for a pleasing composition. Great shot.

And if what I think are your footprints are indeed your foot prints, you got a nice workout getting to this spot.

I like this Cory. Really is an interesting view with all the shapes, shadows and light. Interesting to follow your tracks too. It does look like a workout! Nice work.

I like this unusual perspective for a sand dune shot. I would not expect to be able to find such a high POV in this environment. The footprints give us a nice sense of the size of the view, but I had to look close to see them. I think if you display this, it would be good to use a title that calls attention to the footprints.

thanks Eva, Nick, & Wayne!

Wayne, ya hard to see in this web version but the prints show up quite well in the 16x print I made.

Love the aerial feel to this and the line of your footprints in the sand. Conversion is perfect.
