Owens River & Lenticular

Shot this a couple weeks ago when we had some turbulent weather moving through the eastern sierra. Thats the Owens River just outside of Bishop, CA with the White Mountains in the bg.

5d, 17-40 @17, 1/40s @ f22 iso 50, single image yadda yadday yadda ;)

nice b&w - the sky is dramatic and the sweep to the left keeps one's eye in. i get the feeling there's a CCW tilt?? nice work.

Very nice image with good contrast and tonal separation of the elements. The curves in the clouds and the water hold me in the frame quite well.

Superb B&W Cory! The cloud forms are interesting but the light on the little land area is gorgeous.

You definitely have an eye for great B&W photos. This is no exception. I really like all of the contours in the clouds and you have a wide range of tonalities with great contrast throughout. This is a very compelling image. Great work!!

Wonderful. Only find all that black in upper part of image a little distracting from all the beautifully articulated detail of the rest of the picture.
