Hello everyone. I found another burrowing owl that was bold enough to let me take a couple of shots. It was almost sundown so I really liked the light and pose it was giving me. Not to found of the perch but oh well. C&C welcomed and encouraged.
Camera - Nikon 300s, Lense - Nikon 300F4w/1.7 tc, Exposure - 1/2000, Aperture - F6.7, ISO - 320, Metering - Spot, Aperture Priority.

I like the eye contact and pugilist pose. The BG sets off the subject well. The perch is of no concern to me. It is what it is, and does not detract from the subject's commanding stance.

You captured the color well, and I like "The Look" common to these owls. Nice detail. Perch not a problem for me as often there aren't natural perches where these guys live.

Very nice capture Robert. The lighting, comp, BG and detail are all very good. Your 300 f4 with a 1.7 is impressive.

The light on this one is excellent and really like the eyes and details in the feathers. This is a standard perch for burrowing owls in my experience, so doesn't detract from the subject at all.

Great layered BG with complimentary colors for this subject. Pose and eye contact also very nice. Fencepost perch is more natural for them than any other perch I've seen.
