While my big lens and new camera are being fixed I decided to hit the macro lens for a little. I went to the homosassa butterfly garden and got a few good shots. This was a beautiful one but the wings were very tatered so I tried for some very close shots and purposely cropped the wings.

A vibrant splash of colors - though the angle is a little tough

Very nice close-up. I like the unusual composition and the beautiful patterns on the wings. The reds seem hot, but the rest of the image is gorgeous. Beautiful colors and perfect depth of field. Gorgeous shot, Cheryl.

Thankyou Luke and Varina. Yes Luke funky angle but I keep coming back to this one. Varina I think you are right. Might need to fix that. :wavey:

Cheryl:
Like the bright and vibrant color palette in this image. Good choice of DOF getting the head and eyes sharp and blurring the rest.
