These guys are everywhere around here in spring migration, and despite their reputation for hiding in the brush, they're pretty darn easy to photograph here.

that "fill flash" certainly helped you out here - and the image doesn't look flash banged by any means. Nice find and good isolation.

OUTSTANDING JOB Terry. The captured lighting here is super, I love the detail of the thrush and lichen on the perch. The biggest wonder is how you got this fellow out in the sunlit portion with that darker BG? Really well done!

I really like the lighting here Terry, subdued and befitting this forest dweller. The lichen on the perch tree is very pretty.

I like the emphasis on the face and breast of the bird with the lighting you have Terry. Also like the habitat included in the frame. Nice detail and sharpness on the bird. Very nice.

A pretty shot Terry - the lighting and setting are special. The only chance I've had with this species was on my back fence.

Terrific image. Not an easy species to get such a clean view in my experience. Excellent detail and nice light.

Lots of good detail here, Terry. Like the attentive pose and exposure. That bit of yellow lichen really adds a lot to the image as well.

Nice catch. I like the included habitat, Aududon would have been proud.

I haven't seen you post in awhile Terry and good to see you back! Excellent use of a flash Terry! Light looks totally natural to my eyes and the flash really helped this stand out on a fairly busy BG. Good work!

Terry, this is excellent. They pass through here but hide and I don't have even close to a decent photo of them. Love the perch and the composition.
