Not only does Van T have California Quails in his backyard, but also WEBL's!

1D MkIV, 700mm, 1/2000 @ f9, ISO1000, early morning light.

Thanks for looking.

A really nice look at this bluebird KC. I really like the group of sticks at the bottom. They add interest for me. Bird looks sharp and well exposed. Would love to see this large.

Excellent! Sharp with great feather detail and catchlight. I like the sticks too. It could be me, but the blue in the wings and tail look like it might be approaching oversaturation. If so, its and easy fix. Wonderful image.

Thanks! I was going to add that the blue of this particular male had a blue that seemed much richer than any that I'd ever seen. I did not tweak the saturation any more than my normal.

Please send some of the "WEBL'S" up here! Can't find any!
Great bird in a nice pose.
I'm ambivalent about all the branches below the bird. It would be tricky, but I think I'd try to get rid of all of them, leaving only the branch Mr. WEBL is perched on.

Lovely image with almost glow in the dark blues. I'd leave the comp as is. Very well done.
