Willie Wagtail photographed in the Strezlecki Desert, South Australia.

An interesting substrate Simon. Def an attention getter. The apparent attitude of this bird is nice as is the exposure. Cool shot.

A Willie Wagtail, huh? Looks like a spunky little guy. Really great job on this, Simon. Looks like harsh light by the shadow, and yet the exposure is right on.

Striking image. Love that terra cotta sand and the black and white bird. Great techs to bring out BW with the intense light. I think I would get him a bit more out of the center though.

That sand colour really brings this little fellow to life. Bright sunlight always makes the exposure critical and you've done a fine job here getting the detail from the black feathers.Composition looks about right to me. Graham

Excellent shot! Love the the red sand as it really brings out the bird. Sharp, great pose, and well exposed. Well done.

Such nice details in the blacks and whites! I like the pose showing relative length of wings and tail, eye contact, sharpness, and DOF. :toast:
