Tongue Point is located near Astoria, Oregon. It extends out into the lower Columbia River. It is home to a Job Corps Center and a Coast Guard Station. It shows up in many riverfront photos. Two tall ships and a some Chinook nation canoes came to Astoria to help us celebrate the town's 200th birthday. The Lady Washington replica appears here. This ship also had a role in one of the Pirates Of the Caribbean movies.

I've been to Oregon several times, but never here. It looks like a very scenic spot as depicted in your iconic image.

Neat ship, Robert! It really stands out against the low contrast background.
