WC484 - Tallulah Gorge

Maybe the most well known "nature" location in North Georgia is Tallulah Gorge, one of the deepest canyons in the eastern U.S. As a state park only about 100 passes per day are issued to hike to the canyon floor. Almost everyone uses it to hangout and swim at Sliding Rock (which is exactly what it sounds like) so the rest of the trail is nice and peaceful. This is a shot from the gorge floor along the Tallulah River.

(This was tough to compress to under 300K and I'm not too happy with how it looks here, so just pretend it's nice and sharp  )

Hi Barry,
Nice photo, it feels very fresh and relaxing I like how the color of the water matches the greens in the trees.

I understand the compression problem - Barry. I run into that problem all too often. This is a beautiful spot. The even lighting is just right - no blown highlights in the water, and I see some nice detail even in the darkes shadows. Very pretty!
