I was looking for some interesting rural subjects when I stumbled across this incongruous scene. Peaceful open land, shady tree line, secluded house nestled in the trees and.....

Striking image with these elements and your processing. Definitely reminds me of what is required our current way of life.

The processing really makes this image work. The towers and wires really dominate this otherwise pastoral scene.

Well done Jim, and yeah. The processing does it. I can't tell you how many times I've been far, far from roads both here in Alaska and in the Southwest and stumbled across antennae or microwave dishes of one sort or another. Try as I might to photograph them, they've never turned out this well.

Excellent processing. The towers and wires really stand out against the peaceful scene. The clouds kinda add to the mood.

Jim - congrats on a fine WP!

Thank you very much for the great comments (and the WP doesn't hurt either!). Not mentioned in my opening notes about this shot, but it also illustrates the importance of going back when you see something interesting. I was NOT looking for this sort of image, but it hit me hard with its potential as I drove by at 70mph. I made the effort to locate a turnabout and took the time to drive back to it. Apparently worth the effort!
Thanks again, everyone.
