Another recent image from our local park. This guy skulked around in the brush for awhile, before popping up to take a look around. The light was starting to get harsh, but I thought the perch had some redeeming value.

This is about 67% of FF, cropped off the left and bottom to simplify the comp. All comments welcome.

Great background and interesting perch -- I might try a vertical crop on the sparrow for another look at thie pretty little bird

Such a cute little guy looks alone in a pretty big world, Jeff. This is a very attractive Spring image: nice bg, beautiful perch a clear view of the pretty sparrow. My first reaction was that the sparrow is just a bit too small in the frame. However, when I look at the large version of the image it seems o.k. I think it's because the larger view gives me a better view of the bird.

Lovely image Jeff. I too think a slight crop from the left to a more vertical comp might enhance this a bit. But very nice as posted, IMO.

I'm not good at envisioning the outcome of a crop, but it would be interesting to compare this version to the vertical one suggested by others.

Jeff,
beautiful setting for this nice bird. Great background colors too. I agree to try a vertical crop. Very fine image. :toast:

Seems like a vertical crop was a common suggestion, so here it is. It does seem to put more emphasis on the subject... What do you think?
