Nice profile, standing out well from the background. The OOF shoulder makes it look a little clunky. A little crowded for my tastes. I would be tempted to add a little real estate, left and top.

Wonderful color work, John. Lots of detail and a real up close image, although I agree with Phil on adding top and left if you have it, but I guess you don't. Maybe some canvas?
