Up Wind

Without the help of my Range Rover it would be impossible to follow them, the sandstorm here was unbearable, I could not take my camera out of the car but shoot from inside, even without the camera, walking over this land facing the dusty wind wouldn't be a pleasure for my face, for both of us, me and the Herder who was leading the trail before the wind blew, as we kept crossing the dunes he seems to be fallen behind every now & then, leaving the lead to one of them...fighting the desert harshness, breathing the hot, dry & dusty air, and navigating blind through the sand waves was unforgettable lesson in patience for me and the Herder but for the Camel...a machine created with great endurance and stamina in the desert, it was a pleasure, cruising smoothly, careless to what we were facing. Camel...a true miracle in our desert, created to live here flawlessly.

It may look soft but that what I saw and felt, I barely saw the horizon when I tried to compose...exactly as you see it here. It was bad weather except for us...photographers.

Please enjoy the large version and excuse my English.

Really gives you the feeling of being in a sandstorm! Glad you were able to take your shots from inside your vehicle. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for enduring the sand storm to bring us this image. I can feel the sand and breathe the dust. Also nothing wrong with your English. Well done.

I like the feeling that this photo gives. It seems like a photo that could have been taken long ago. I think that the slight Sepia tone helps to give this feeling. Here in San Diego the Camels have life much easier. http://cameldairy.com/Home_Page.html

I love the timeless feel of this image Moshen. The subdued colours really lend well to this much as Charlie suggests. Composition is excellent too. I just took a look at your gallery, as I haven't seen you before here in the Wildlife gallery and, I have to say, I've very impressed with all your work. Hope to see more of it in time :^)

BTW, if only my Arabic was half as good as your English ... ;^)

Hello Mohsen. This is a beautifully interpreted scene and I very, very much like the color tones and the mood as presented. I have to point out however, that as per NPN posting guidelines, this should be included in Man and Nature Gallery because of the herders and hardware worn by the camels. Clearly this is not a band of wild camels. ("Images that include domesticated animals should be posted in the Man & Nature Gallery.") So, I have to move it accordingly, but remind you once again how pleasing it is. Thanks for understanding.
