An Alaskan Brown Bear imaged at Minnesota Zoological Garden. Used a Nikon F100 with 250-500mm Tamron zoom telephoto. Awesome species!

The pose is great. It would have been nice to have gotten his hind lags in the image. The light looks like is was pretty harsh.

Interesting pose Jeff, yet I too miss the hind legs a bit. The exposure is quite well handled despite the harsh light. Thanks for including a larger version, it is almost a requirement looking at that since this post is rather small. The larger version does show some noise in the dark areas particularly and the over IQ does not look too impressive, but perhaps this has to do with the fact that this was scanned from a slide?
