Love the comp and light, nice warm colors Morkel..Detail/DOF looks great.
I especially like the lily pad perch and open beak pose.

Just terrific Morkel, I don't think anyone could set this up any better, even using props. Just perfect colors, framing, and exposure IMO, congrats.

Nice pose and I really like his lily pad perch and all the other OOF ones receding into the BG. The light is pleasing as well. Knowing your thoughts on removal of items, the single round highlight really catches my eye because of both its brightness and shape (that's a nice octagon!). Don't really mind these in images but having only one makes it stand out to me. Multiple ones wouldn't get a mention.

Nice to see another species of Jacana. I'm more familiar with the Pheasant-Tailed Jacanas we have over here. I guess they too probably have these extra long feet, but yet to see one actually on the lily pads like this so not 100% sure. Thanks for sharing Morkel; love the composition and warm lighting :^)

Everything works on this one, low perspective, good lighting to bring out colors, nice overall composition with the lily pad and those are quite some feet, well done.

Beautiful bird and well rendered, Morkel. I'm torn about the comp, though. On one hand I find it interesting, on the other I feel like scooting the bird over to the left a bit, and getting rid of some of the pad that's there.

Great image. Colors in the bird are perfectly echoed in the lily pads. Open mouth and eye contact top it off. I wish there was just a bit more room under the lily pad.

I like the calling posture, the nice view of the long toes on both feet, the "perch" and sharpness of the image.
