Maluti Mountain Vista

We recently spent 4 nights in the Golden Gate Highlands National Park, South Africa. Despite it raining non-stop for 3 of the 4 days, we enjoyed the log cabins overlooking this wonderful vista on the Maluti mountains (which are part of the greater Drakensberg range)...and I was able to capture this image one afternoon when the rain gave way to some late afternoon sunlight before pouring down again.

Blend of 3 images and processed with some Triple Play tweaks. The greatest challenge here was cutting through the haze which was still quite thick...

All critique appreciated!

Morkel,

What a terrific view. I think you've captured a composition too that works quite well; I like the knoll or whatever, ridge, and how it draws the eye down and in to the scene leading to the little valley and beyond. Looks to me like you did a great job of cutting through the haze too with this presentation. Well done.

nice light over the grasslands and this captures the forms and textures of the landscape well. although i cannot quite put my finger on it, something doesn't quite ring true - maybe a sharpening-for-web artifact - not sure?!?

The golden light on the foreground is lovely. Sweet shot. You've dealt with the haze admirably.
