A few weeks ago these "Myrtle" Warblers (Yellow-rumped) were quite easy to spot but of course photographing them presented another challenge.

Nikon D300 300 f4 + 1.7X TC HH
f/6.7
1/320s
ISO 1000
-.67 EC

Cropped to 65%, sharpened using smart sharpen and USM, noise reduction on the background, very minor clone in ULC all in CS5 on 27" iMac

Nice color patterns on this bird and they don't look like they make it easy to get a clean shot. I like the color of the BG. Might only lighten the branch directly behind the beak to lessen the merge.

These are common birds in my area, but I have very few frames with them in the open. Good work getting an open shot. Good job exposing the yellows too.

A solid shot of this beautiful warbler Luke. The exposure and details look great. The large branch above the bird's head is kind of dominant in the image but nothing you could do about that. :toast:

I think you've done well with this Luke - good look at the bird in typical habitat, the yellows and whites look good, as does sharpness. I'm fine with the cluttered but appropriate setting.
