This would have benefited from a lower POV, but that wasn't practical here. The interesting thing about this image is that the gator's tail is in a cave, which when he saw me he turned around and went completely into, and which would normally be under two or three feet of water. Florida needs rain so badly, and parts of this NWR are completely dry, while parts have water but the water is very low. All along the bank here you can see gator caves that you normally would not see if the water level was more normal. Feedback and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Nice detail and comp. Also like the light and reflection. If mine and I had the space, I'd crop half the space above the cave.

The best wildlife image I've seen you post - nice lighting and the opened mouth adds a lot

Really nice Barbara. Excellent reflection. I, too, would take a slice from the top.

Those gators and all other fauna and flora there most be going through though times! A solid image Barbara, I also echo the suggestion to crop a bit off the top.

Very impressive image, Barbara. Love the open mouth and the reflection of it. Also that the tail is half in the cave. I disagree about cropping the top. If you did crop it the cave structure would be minimized.
