Rushing Waters

Spent the day with my good friend and fellow photog, Ryan Montgomery in search of the unfamiliar in Cullasaja Gorge (North Carolina). This is a very rugged gorge with big water! We found some wonderful and unique locations and this is one of my favorites.

I'm liking the way the greens pop here Jerry!

I like the mix of green and red Jerry. Love the water motion. Only nit is the slightly hot area just below the greens to the left.

Eva, it's really not hot. It's just a fast, heavy flow and a slow shutter speed.

Jerry,

The greens and backlit leaves really steal the show in this image. The texture and flow of the stream do a great job in framing those greens. Which is kind of backwards since usually it's the trees and surrounding vegetation that usually frame the water. I think that's what makes this one a bit unique. No nits or suggestions here. Nice to see a post from you Jerry.

Jerry, this is an extremely well balanced composition for me, containing more than one point of interest. The dramatic motion of the stream, the fresh greens contrasted to the red, and finally the dark background, which adds a mystic character to my eye. I keep exploring your image for a long time.

Lovely capture Jerry. The backlit green leaves really speak out in this.
I like the flow with the redish rock anchoring it well.
Super

Jerry, This is beautiful!! I love the movement in the water, great choice for ss. The color in the wet rock is also very nice, and I really like the highlighted green leaves with the dark shadows behind...looks fantastic. Wonderful comp too. :toast:
I should have commented on this one sooner.
