I am too Richard and there are still none in my shooting areas here near Denver. Seems like a late Spring but I say that every year. I like the subdued tone and the fine detail in this very much. Lots of presence in the subject as well. Beautiful work. This might also be interesting rotated 180 degrees.

Nice one! This looks like a stemless wollybase a/k/a Perky Sue, a very common wildflower out in this area. Everything about this image works well - the DOF, the color of the BG, the square crop. Wildflowers are by far my favorite thing to shoot. Let's see some more!

Lovely, Richard ! I especially like the slightly subdued yellows, which look superb on this bg. A crisp rendering of the flower centre. coupled with the subtle shading in the petals, make this a fine image for me.

Excellent dof. Maybe brighten the flower itself a touch, but that's my only suggestion for this really beautiful shot.

So beautifully soft, and in the large version you can see nice detail. Wonderful colors and light.
