NA river otter tag (C)

The 2 otters at the zoo had a game of tag. Their pool had frozen over but there were 2 holes, one and each end the otters could use to get under the ice into the water. They began to chase each other through the holes. One would try and block the other from coming out of one of the holes. This one even tried to block the hole with chunks of ice and snow! They had a great time, challenging to photograph with the bright snow and ice, the dark animals and the fast action.

Canon T1i, 1/200 @ F-13 ISO 400
Canon EF70-300 @ 300mm.
Not sure why I was using a slower shutter speed when the action needed more SS.

Goog exposure and excellent detail in the fur John :^) Only wish you hadn't nipped off the end of it's tail ;^.

Enjoyed reading about the situation and looking at the image again makes me feel like this one was in the middle of making a snowball to chuck at it's mate ;^)

A very fun shot John. I just wish he had given you a better angle, more of a side view would have shown him better.
