Very nice, Andy. I like the color and the reflection, of course.

Beautiful Photo. Intense Colors and lovely reflection. Two sentences about the photo might help people like me with relatively low knowledge of US Geography (and Photography too !!).

Thanks for the comments. Ram, this is a very popular spot in the Michigan U.P. It is at Miner's Beach which is on Lake Superior, near Munising, MI, in the "Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore." You have probably seen a couple of us' posting of Elliot Falls, which is at the opposite end (East) of the beach and a late day light condition shot. I went back in the Morning, trying to find some nice light at this end of the beach. This is very near where the river empties into Lake Superior. While a pretty good drive from Milwaukee, the Munising area is every bit worth the drive over!

Thanks, Andy  - for the details. We were there in 2009 around August. Though I could not visit all well known or scenic places in Munising, I covered many obvious ones.

I want to visit that place again and cover a wider area this time round.

Ram: if you are interested, I have a PDF guide that I have done that covers a lot of the UP photo sites. I would be glad to
send you a copy if you are interested.

This is very nice Andy. The reflection is really cool and the colors wonderful. I have only shot at Miner's Beach in the late afternoon and evening. Heading up there at the end of this month.
