Hi everyone....It's been almost a month since I posted. Been extremely busy with lots of things most notably my wife who is bravely battling breast cancer as we speak. She's doing great and keeping her chin up and we are hoping for a positive outcome but it's going to be a grind for the next year or so.
Have not been shooting much lately so I went back through the hard drive and picked out this image of a Peregrine Falcon that I captured at sunset banking hard after a dive right at me. I was with a friend at the time and he was so startled that he never got off a shot. I think the Peregrine was just playing with us but I have never had one come right at me before or since. Anyway, with limited shooting time I thought I would see what you guys think of this image since I don't have many new ones to share. Larger version included. Thanks and have a great week. I will comment when I can but it probably won't be often. I'm sorry. :frown:

Very nice image. I like the detail in the feathers. Just a tad light for my taste. Thanks for sharing and good luck.

Nice shot of the underside of this bird, and good eye contact too. Is this one of the birds in San Diego? :toast:

David:
I like the positions of the wings, the spread of the tail feathers and the nice eye contact. I agree with John, a tad light for my taste too. Easily modified if you agree. Good luck to you and your wife.

Love the late light, a well managed exposure. Sharp detail and nice DOF as well David.
I like your comp a lot also..I especially like the POV and banking pose with that wing extension.
Beautiful work :toast:
