Thanks for the comments on my last image. Always appreciated.
If there is one thing photography has taught me it's to look down. The beauty on the forest floor can be captivating.
I tried to get everything as sharp as possible in this shot and unfortunately I think the flower is not as crisp as it could be but I do like the composiion. The vertical leaves of the fern add a interresting element I think. It was a little breezy so a stack wasn't possible. Do the tiny hairs on the buds look oversharpened? Thanks for looking.

Yep, I love this composition too Bruce. I also like the light and the fresh crisp colors. Well seen and well presented. The hairs look fine to me. Gorgeous natural arrangement.

A brilliant comp with the purple flower popping with color against the great greens. :toast:

The flower looks fine to me. The composition is terrific. It looks like the flower is climbing that ladder of leaves.

Nice capture of the flower amidst such a variety of shapes and textures...cool. The hairs look ok.

The tiny hairs look great Bruce. In this image, it appears as though your real subject is foliage and the stem. The flower comes off as a secondary subject, and I suspect that's what you were after.

Nice job.

Bruce:
A very pleasing image. The horizontal leaves of the ferns provide a nice backdrop for the single bloom. The flower is fines and the cilia looks natural.

Bruce, This is a complex frame (I'd walk away from it not knowing what to do). But I really really admire how you found so much order amidst chaos (at least at first glance). The lines, shapes etc look splendid as does the vibrant green color. Geranium is really nice garnish for the whole frame.

Lovely work :toast:

SUPER composition, Bruce. The Herb Robert's leaves, buds and flower make a perfect accent to the strong pattern of the parallel fern fronds against the black background. Well seen and perfectly exposed.
