Zion Twilight

From Zion NP last November. This area gets shot a lot, so I tried for a unique comp. A two exposure blend. I realize the moon looks a bit small on this web version. Thought about cloning in a slightly bigger moon, but -- I kinda like it as is.

Thanks for looking.

I like the light and color in this image very much and the comp is nice also. Fime image. I was in Zion 3 weeks or so ago and I tried to take some different comps. on the slick rock side of the tunnel. I am in the middle of processing all the images I took.

Kory, the composition and processing look spot-on to my eye. No easy thing here in this light. Very well done! That was a fun shoot.

Thanks, Marc. Yes, it was fun, but then again I've never had a bad shoot with you.

I really like the way the curved bedding planes lead my eye into the image and the way the colors in the sky echo the sandstones hue.

Kory - The leading lines are a great element in this one. The moon is a bit tiny, but not an issue for me. I appreciate the realistic tones of the rock, easy to overdu but this looks great. If the sky was a blend, you did a great job of it. :toast:

Really nice composition Kory. I especially like that little tree against the sky on the right. On my monitor there is a slight blue halo around the butte.

your composition here is wonderful - well seen and well composed. I would like to see this in some really great light and great conditions. the sky is nice but i feel that the scene is left slightly flat in this light.

A well crafted composition with lovely light. I would leave the moon as is.

Very nice comp and well done to keep processing very natural looking. I would prefer a touch more pop though.

This is an excellent Zion image! I love seeing that tree where you have it here. Nice colors and very natural looking 'development'.

Interesting comp and like the way the lines in the rock take you back into the scene. Nice muted light and color. The moon is "okay" but it does get your attention.

Hey thats my spot!

Nice job scooting back on this one. I always tent to go close. I also love the moon in there. It does often pop up there which is a big plus. Nice use of line too!
