Curious Cat

One of my 26 cats was interested in the flowers I was snapping for this year's reflection shots. I tried to shoo him away, but he stuck his snout in the blossoms before he left just to satisfy himself. I wish I had left him alone so I could have gotten more angles.
42mm f/29 1/200s
manual exposure
multi pattern metering

26 cats! Wow! I have 2 cats and they are very curious as are most cats. I, too, have them getting in my way when to try to take pictures by blocking the light or walking right into the picture. So I also have some unplanned cat pictures. Cute photo.

Shirley, I have never seen a Cat photo here on Flora in the last 4 to 5 years  . I grew up with many cats but certainly not 26  . Our Mod says "if it grows, it goes" - so I guess this one fits here.

This is a lovely concept. Love it. Personally I'd have liked the front paws to be fully in the frame, but its not a big deal.

Shirley,

This is the first feline I recall seeing in this gallery. I like the image. I might crop it some from the viewer's right but it's a subjective call. It is an appealing and interesting image.

Well, we live back in the woods, so they have plenty of room to run and play. I did the best I could before he ran off so I didn't have time to get anything else. A striped cat with a Tiger Lily--I'll have to get this one enlarged to 11x14 and hang it somewhere.
I need to quit saying I've gotten everything--I obviously don't know what I'm talking about.

Fantastic image Shirley. The reflection makes this for me.

Thanks for all the comments. I know when I look at other people's stuff on here, I wonder how I can compete quality wise. This kind of shot is as good as it gets for me.

Made me smile. Love the curiosity of the cat, the flowers and the base they are all on. Well done!

Shirley: Great capture of the moment and a delightful result. I think the only thing I would do is crop from the right side to 5:4 ratio to get rid of some of the negative space. >=))>

The surface is actually my car trunk. A dark paint job with clear coat works wonders for good reflection shots. A good editing program helps, too.
