Ornamental Onion

Shot into the ball like flower formation of the Ornamental Onion. The center was lit by natural sunlight and the stems holding the flowers were partially shaded by the blooms.

Nikon D200, 50mm F/1.8 Lens with 48mm of Extension @ F/2.8, 1/400 Sec, ISO200 and handheld.

Thank You for your comments on Dewy Geranium and do let me know what you think of this one.

PS : I posted this earlier in the Mid West Nature Forum. Just a reminder for those who might have a deja vu effect.

So what do we call this Ram? Vegative burst. Whatever, very cool effect.

Ram,

I love the graphic quality in this and the light of course. I think this is my favorite of your posts for the year. Exceptional image for my tastes.

What a great abstract Ram. The composition with the off center point and leading lines make this for me. Superb image and display.

I am a very big fan of this one! I have tried a similar effect without these superb results. I am really enjoying the star burst effect and the beautiful colors. The DOF is right on here and the lighting is to die for. Most excellent!
(teeny bright spot in lrc is probably worth cloning. I only mention it because I miss those buggers all the time and need help finding them!)

Thank you, Anne. You have a good eye. I did remove 3 or 4 other hot spots but this one obviously eluded me.
