My pleasant surprise to find this white-winged dove's feather frozen in space as she came in for a landing.

Wonderful image!!
Exquisite detail in the bird, nice BG, and - that errant feather!
Some additional sharpening on the feather would benfit - but excellent as is.

beautiful, Angela. The WWDO seems to be focusing on this loose feather. Good detail and I like the pose and stopped action.

Absolutely marvelous action wonderfully frozen in time! I also love the lighting and the way it enhances the textures of the Dove's plumage, and what a bonus to catch that drifting feather, exceptional work Angela and thanks for mentioning this one on your most recent post in the Avian gallery; might have missed it otherwise! What a pleasant surprise! Every thing is perfect: compo, BG color, action, frame......

Quill seems to be not that sharp. May be sharpening the quill would have brought it to the same plane as the bird.

Wow! And wow again! This is fantastic, Angela! The image would be gorgeous even without that fantastic feather - the background is clean and attractive, no distracting elements within the frame, excellent detail, wide-open eyes with a catch-light, a dynamic pose... incredible all around. And then to have this beautiful feather floating in the air - and the bird actually looking right at it! It may have been a lucky moment - but you captured it skillfully. Excellent work!
