Female Peregrine in hunting mode, photographed this morning on the yorkshire coast. I would have liked a little more head turn, but you don't always get what you wish for. I like the wing position and the fact that you can see both alula.

1/2000th @ f8 +2/3rds iso800 ( 95% of FF, and a little canvas added to the lefthand side to aid the comp )

Please view the large version

Thanks for the feedback on my last post and thanks for looking.

Although a little more head turn would be nice, I don't think it necessary, its a great shot as is! :toast:

Cracker Andy. I was on the Yorkshire coast as well yesterday morning but didn't get anything like this in the camera.
Well done.

For me I am not sure it needs all of the canvas on the LHS as we look at it.

Cheers

Austin

Got to be one of the most difficult shots to capture considering their speed, and this, to me is a beauty Andy. You made the most of a great opportunity, and it paid off.

Superb - especially considering the speed of these. Not sure the blue of the sky is quite right - may be my monitor of course.
