This unspectacular scene kept my attention and I just wanted to share it. On a tranquil evening in the floodplains of the March, a river at the Austrian-Slovakian border.

Peter,

There are some elements that I like about this, but I have to be honest and say that the lone, bright trunk isn't working for me. Maybe it could be toned down, but I think without some other branches or something else to provide some structure or interest, the tree just isn't adding anything to the image for me. Having said that, I really like the little splattering of blue, but also the dappled light and open area of the water at the bottom. Perhaps even just a crop of the top 1/2 or 3/5 because there is some very nice interest in the reflections and the light is very sweet.

This does translate quiet and tranquil for sure.

I always like to find interesting elements in unspectacular scene. This particular capture is a little too busy to my taste. Nevertheless, there are lots of interesting elements to like about: the contrast between the white trunk and the dark-green duckweed and the reflections of the sky are two examples.

I like how the water plants feel like leaves on the tree. You should invert this and really throw us off.

I agree with Yiming - interesting elements in a usual scene.Well seen and you recognized the potential well. I also like the outcome - particularly the dappled light at the top adds a lot for me. I also kinda agree with Lon about the trunk. Not so much its brightness, but it cuts through the scene. As Lon suggested - more branches on that trunk would "dissipate" its presence and would allow it to blend in with the scene more homogenously. Interesting work from you nevertheless, imo.
