Ohh poor little fishy! I can't help but see the little fishy begging for freedom. It didn't work ... GULP. This was taken at the Anclote Pier here in Holiday FL. The sun was just about down and then he got a fish an I got the shot.
Canon7D
300 mm 2.8 lens
ISO 400 5.6 @ 1/125
He was super close but I still cropped about 15% for more impact.
Not sure if I used the tripod, I'm thinkin I did.

Love the expression on the fish. Wish for a slight head turn.

Beautiful light and comp, Cheryl, but the "expression" on the fish is what makes this one!

Can't help but feel badly for the plight of the little guy. The "eye to eye' contact makes the image rock. Nicely captured Cheryl.

Fun shot! My only nit relates to the BG. A lower POV that gave more separation might have made this even better.

Almost looks like you Photoshop'd the little guy in Cheryl - LOL ;^p

Marvelous catch ... for you and the Heron, not so fortunate for our fishy friend ;^)

Thanks every one. No the fishy is real Ashley I promise and I too wished for a head turn but by the time he turned the fish angle changed and it wasn't as good a face.
