Visited McArthur-Burney Falls for a day in early May. Quite an interesting variety of lighting situations throughout the day. This is one of the images I came away with under cloudy skies in the morning. Converted to B-W in LR3.

Canon EOS Mk2; 18 sec @ f/16 w 3-stop ND; 24 mm; ISO 100; 24-105 f/4L; tripod; cable release.

That's a lot of water and very nicely composed. the main torrent is particularly nice with the slow shutter.

Craig, I like the BW take on this classic site. When I was there, under clear skies I never got the light to do the scene justice. Your image has a nice feel for the place. Best Regards.

Hi, Craig,

I was at McArthur-Burney Falls many years and photographed it in color.
Either I didn't compose it well or didn't have good light. This B&W version
works very well. Thanks for sharing.

One of my favorite spots and you did a wonderful job with this comp. Nice work on the tones and the exposure really shows off the flow.
