Normally, I just title my floral images by using the name of the flower or plant rather than trying to be original or creative. I couldn't here, however, because I don't know what this is. The local garden just added a new perennial bed, and this was included, but there was no plant label. The plant is small (1 foot tall) with multiple small blue-violet flowers on multiple stems. The individual flowers are very small - about the size of a dime, as I recall. Nikon D700, 180 macro, iso 200, f5.6, 1/125, tripod, natural backlighting. Comments welcome.

At this close range I can't help with the id. Perhaps a campanula??? What really attracts me to this image Scott is the colour palette and light.

Thanks, Bob. I think you are probably correct that it's a variety of campanula given the shape of the flower and color.

Scott, Lovely shot. Super light and details. The flower is a variety of Clustered Bellflower in the Campanula Family.

This is a fascinating image. One of my favorite parts is the "alien head" (anthers) popping out of the flower in the background and peering around.

Very pretty shot Scott. The sharp anthers are a great focal point. Definitely a campanula.

Very fine work Scott. Love the colors and the light. I also like the diagonal bias in the comp.

Scott, it's time of transparencies for me. So the transparent blue of the Campanula is what I love more, Splendid image.
Take care.
