This is my first post from my new MacBookPro....YAY!...I've decided to make the jump from PC to Mac! All critiques appreciated as this is still very new to me!

Ring-necked Duck Drake captured earlier this year. Processed in LR and CS5.
50D, 500mm, Iso 200, 1/400, F5
LARGER version available.

What's not too like? Good comp; good detail; well controlled whites and darks; nice low angle. The water sheen on the duck's breast bothers me mildly, but nothing you can do about that..

Congrats on the shot and on the move up to a Mac. This looks fine to me on my circa 2004 Apple Cinema display that I'm using at the moment instead of my circa 2004 Mac PowerBook.

Nice low angle Sharon. I like all the water drops and the nice head turn. Detail looks pretty good too. Looks like the MacBookPro is set up pretty well. However, if you have not already, I would recommend you calibrate the monitor as soon as you can. Apple monitors in general are great, but still need to calibrated to produce the accurate colors they are capable of.

Very nice Sharon. Love the nice low perspective and the reflection. The 'ring' actually shows.
