Had a super fun day today at the Suncoast seabird Sanctuary beach today. The Black Skimmers are nesting and have lot's of teeny cute babies. I also had a fun 5 minuted with these Pelicans fishing in the breaking waves. This was my favorite frame from that.

A different brown pelican image from what you usually see. Great capture of the action. I do wish the feet were abit darker, they tend to blend in with the water for these old eyes. Thanks for sharing.

In just five minutes you were able to come up with this?!?!? Boy, you make it sound so darn easy Cheryl - LOL ;^p

Seriously, I love this everything about this shot! The textures of the feathers as well as in the rolling surf really bring this image to life. The fully outstretched wing seems to perfectly compliment the oversized length of the Pelican's bill and the composition as a whole makes this a joy to look at, many thanks for sharing :^)

A very nice image Cheryl with good exposure. Love the extended wing and good look at the feet. The wave adds some nice dynamics. Well done.

Wonderfully dramatic, Cheryl. The breaking wave and the bird's feet dragging through the crest capture a great dynamism. Good management of harsh light, too.

I love the wing extension and sense of motion in this one, Cheryl.

Awesome extension on the wings and the water is very cool - I think you should play with the levels a bit more though as the water should be more white
