Welcome To My Garden

Well, it's not exactly my garden, oh how I wish it was. The other day I stopped by the North Carolina Arborteum and waited a bit for the rain to end. I didn't have much time so I grabbed my gear and headed out for a few shots. These gates are the entrance to their "Stream Garden" where you will find native azaleas, hydrangeas, dwarf iris, a man-made stream and much, much more.

To bring out the tones and textures of this garden, I enhanced it using Viveza and Color Efex-Glamour Glow plug-in. It feels very inviting which is the effect I was after.

Thoughts? Comments? All are greatly appreciated.

What a great gate and your treatment has certainly made it an inviting image. Colors are complimentary and wonderfully saturated.

Thanks everyone for viewing this image and your comments. Yes, Bill, the North Carolina Arboretum is a great place, especially for photographers. I volunteer so I am there at least once a week if not more. Their landscape designs change frequently and there is always something to photograph. These gates are my favorite. They were hand crafted by two blacksmith artists from Western North Carolina. If you're ever in this area of Asheville, NC, be sure to stop by the Arboretum.

Thanks again for viewing.
