Clearing Storm
by Richard Teller
I just got back from volunteering for ten days a church youth camp in the Black Hills of South Dakota. The camp is at 6000 feet and last night we watched a major storm cell form over the top of us and it delivered so golf ball sized hail that left a few dents in my truck. As the storm cleared it gave us some great light and cloud formations. This is just one of the images. This is combination of two images for exposure. Some post processing in PSE9. I will post some more. All comments and critiques are welcome and appreciated.

11 commentsWow! What an impressive clearing storm. It's one thing to have to sit through and worry during the storm (and sorry about the dents!), it's another thing to witness the glory after the storm. What a beautiful and fantastic sky. I was going to say I thought the saturation was a little high, but then I thought, naw, it's rather quite believable.
If I had a suggestion, it would be to clone out some of the little specs of light in the treeline in the LL. Perhaps not all of them, but some of the bigger ones to make it less of a pull for the eye. Keep the interest up top (not hard to do though with this one!)
