Looks like the long wait was worth it, Karen. The great looking, natural perch makes the shot for me. No nits from this side of the keyboard.

I really like this one Karen. The position of the bird, the head turn, catchlight and the perch (even the flower heads are perfect) all combine for a lovely image. I particularly like the background as it is smooth enough not to be a distraction and yet there is just enough info in it to suggest the grassland habitat of this bird.
A gem.

I see them on phone lines and fences all the time, but never in natural positions like this. Congratulations, the wait was worth it.
