Osprey fishing.......

This Ospre was going for his third attempt of a fish...seems he was getting frustrated!
Full frame shot, actually had to add a little canvas and add a little wing tip since I clipped it in the shot (right lower hand corner). It was so close to me a was over glassed  but still loved the expression add wet body look the osprey had.

ISO 400
F5.6

Gorgeous detail, Eric and I love the intent look on the Osprey. I'm surprised you had that much dof with him filling the frame.

Eric, a great view of this bird with nice light. I like the flight position as well. My only nit is the much lighter area of the sky amongst the bird's talons. It looks like you did a selection on the sky BG and reduced the brightness of the BG, but the areas of the sky around the talons did not get selected/reduced and thus stayed brighter. I would fix that as it stands out quite a bit. Cheers.

Good work. Exposure, dof, eye contact, comp—all spot on. No nits. :toast:

You cannot save time, you can only spend it wisely. Or, perhaps, freeze a moment of it in a photograph.

Nice eye Ron, I see it now. Definitely going to touch that up!

I like the feather detail and the look the osprey is giving on the larger image, nice job in getting this full frame, way to go.

Wonderful details and excellent wing position. That Osprey looks very intense, nice work.

The larger image reveals the nice detail that you have captured here. Diagonal position of the bird is very appealing. Problem with the foot area noted. You might also have a second look at the whites-there is a slight yellow cast to the image.
