I have being doing some reworks of images from last year and came upon this image from the Icelandic Glacier lake Jokulsarlon. After some tweaking I think I might be happy with it now, and I'm curious to hear your opinions!

Excellent shot. The larger version really helps one appreciate the scene. Your processing looks very natural.

Jorne,

A beautiful image of the glacier and bay. At first I thought it was a little bright along the horizon, but then I decided that I liked the atmosphere, which is kind of a hazy, glare for lack of a better description. But I think that the atmosphere is somehow fitting for the overall scene. I like the color as well, although there certainly is a strong magenta presence here - but the cool blues in the middle of the frame balance the colors nicely.

A couple of items. I do see a couple of dust bunnies in the water that you might want to take care of. Also, I'm curious about the area around the small flotilla of ice at the bottom. It looks to me like some large haloing, or more accurately some masking/painting that was done during processing? Or is the light and circumstance somehow making it lighter around the ice? to me it looks a little un-natural. But then maybe I'm not interpreting this right.

that's it, I think this is a great image and has potential for making an excellent print.

Thank you all for the comments, especially you Lon for the many insights! You are right about the iceflotilla in front, I painted it but forgot to redo the edges so I tried to alleviate that in the repost, but it's still visible so I'll have another go at it

I like the feeling of lightness and expansiveness here. It's nice to see a wider view of this location. Some lovely colours here in the sky and icebergs.

Jorne, This is another one that almost got by me for some reason. I'm glad I caught it before it went off the front page.
This is beautiful. You really captured a wonderful moment here. I love the looks of this wide view and the fantastic light, colors and awesome mood! Taking care of what Lon mentioned and this is way over the top. I think this would make a beautiful print.
Sorry for the late comment.
