Reddish Egret

Finally had a nice morning at Bolsa Chica. Wanted some skimming activity but there was none going on. Went for a stroll on the elevated trail (you cannot get a low POV) and this Reddish Egret showed up and gave me a wonderful show. In this image it had just completed its wonderful dance and started for a fish and got it.

Cropped to 40% of full frame.

Comments are appreciated.

Really nice action Harry. I'm seeing some noise in the water probably from the higher iso and the crop. I think I would have used less depth of field and dropped my iso to 400 here. :toast:

The reddish egrets are always entertaining. I think you could do some noise reduction on the water/background and really bring out the bird without distraction. I like the intent in his eye.

Interesting action and reflection Harry. I agree with Nate - less DOF at a lower ISO would have lessened the noise.
