Cool shot! I like how you can see part of his reflection in the water. For having such a low shutter speed and ISO 800 hand held, it still turned out really good!
Congrats on having your images in Outdoor Photographer!

Hi Butch,
Congrats on your success with this image. Those eyes are really compelling (tho' they make me wonder if that cat doesn't care about what the heck it's drinking!!) and the inclusion of the out-stretched tongue adds to the image.
Perhaps my eyes are out of whack a little, but it looks to me like this image could use a slight CCW rotation (I'm guessing about 1˚?) - even after "accommodating" for the angled shoreline it looks to me like this stream is going quite "downhill".
Cheers...thanks for sharing this...

Compelling image !!! The eyes are really captivating.
I agree with Brad on rotation and you could boost the saturation here.
Congrats for Outdoor Photographer

A beauty Butch! The low angle is key in the success of this image and I am surprised to see you shot this with a 70-200; you must have been fairly close! Congrats.

A truly great image Butch! Love the gaze, pose and details. It does look a little 'washed out' in terms of colour, perhaps a slight saturation adjustment needed??
Wish it was mine...
