I thought this was a very interesting, very small weed. As to composition Im conflicted as to best crop and clone items. All suggestions will be helpful and greatly appreciated.

This is image before cloning out the upper part of the continueing stem. What do you think about anything of this image?

Charlie, interesting subject. I think the first version with the upper stem cloned out works better overall, but I would try to clone closer to the petal. I think the black background was a good choice and brings out some of the detail as well.

Thanks, Morgan. I post a fair number of images that I don't really feel are anything significant and usually there is something about them that, for me, is unusual. This one caught my eye because of the starry petals at the sprout joints. It is probably not that unusual, but I don't remember seeing it before. I also liked the small bit of green in an otherwise drab brown (even the BG) image.

Like where you going here Charlie, sorta of a yin & yang thing going on
I think the original works better, just tighten up the cloning.
Good work :toast:

I too like what you have done for the image. The bg works for me too. I agree, take the top stem all the way off and your done.
