I think you have caught that impression one gets upon seeing a deer in the forest very well. Great eye contact and alert ears. I like the arrangement of trees in the vertical composition. I might reduce the saturation or perhaps the color balance a little to make the coat a bit less orange.

The image is very natural. This is what you might actually see when you come across a deer in the woods. The only thing I might be tempted to do is crop some off of the top to make the deer even more prominent in the image.

Nice shot. Good catch of the expression on the deers face. I like that you were able to get sharp focus on the deer through the foliage between you and her. Thanks for sharing.
