Cozying up to dad!
by Ajit Huilgol
Posting after a long time! Have been busy with work (transplants), and conferences (Prague) this month, but also took time off to visit Kenya/Tanzania in May. Just got around to post-processing these images and will be able to post some images in the next few weeks. This was taken in Masai Mara (where else?). The pride was 20 strong, consisting of three black-maned handsome males, six females and 11 cubs, ranging from about 3 to 6 months old. These cubs in the image were the younger ones and hadn't yet learnt that Dad(s) have bad tempers- at least one hadn't! While the latter tried to practise his hunting skills on Dad's rump (NOT A GOOD IDEA!), the other one tried to cozy up to him.
Location: Masai Mara, Kenya
Date: May, 2011
Equip: Canon 1D Mlll, Canon 500 f4 with 1.4 TC
Specs: ISO 400, 1/250s, f 7.1, beanbag on vehicle
Thank you for taking time out to look, and for your comments/critiques.

Could it use a bit of warming up?
Welcome back with a blast.
This is the type of Lion shot that I have tried for years to get but so far with no luck.
Beautiful interaction, look forward to seeing more.
