Cindy, Love the soft focus and the usual lensbaby airy feel to this photo. If this were mine, I'd increase the exposure for the whites by another 1 to 1.5 stops so that the magentas in the pollen pods really pop. Right now the grey tones don't really highlight the magentas in the center.

Ignore my recommendation if you went for some kind of a subdued feel to this frame in which case you truly succeeded.

Ram, Here is my re-post. I think I like my first photo. What do you think?

I'm only 1 hour from Milwaukee in Trevor, WI. That guy that just died on Lake Michigan was a friend from High School. So sad.

Cindy,

I think Ram offered good advice but I prefer the mood in the first image. I tend to like the dark side though. Beautiful image for my tastes.

Cindy, The mood is still great in the original but in your repost I'd have kept those magentas as dark (so that they stand out) as they were in the first while bringing up just the whites. No need to work and repost again though.

I read about that news. Sad. Do you come to Milwaukee often ? We could meet up.

Cindy: I like the comp and the LB management but agree with Ram that the whites need a boost while leaving the magenta as is or perhaps even a touch more brilliant. Nicely crafted image.>=))>

Hey Cindy, nice shot and I really like the repost. I think Ram's suggestion of leaving the magentas alone with the increased whites would work well.

Can't wait to see some shots from your recent trip!

Cindy, This is very nice. I too agree with the idea of the brighter wihites and original magentas.
