Double Calla

I don't know if Calla Lilies grow this way but I found it unique that two of them have a conjoined kind of a stem. The one on the top is the same I posted earlier - but in the few days it has turned darker slowly on its way past prime. The one lower, is the fresher Calla.

The background comes from some Daylilies that are growing wild in my backyard. I have a few more Rose Abstracts - I'll show them next week.

ND200, AFD 200 mm F/4 Micronikkor, F/6.3, 1/30 Sec, ISO200, Tripod, Mosquito Bites etc  .

Thanks a lot for your great response/comments on the Rose Abstract and do let me know what you think of this one.

Ram: In my experience this is a major aberration. We've had callas for several years and I've never seen this phenomenon although we've only grown this variety once or twice. I like the BG here especially. An alternative would be a slightly narrower crop, perhaps 9:16 ratio vs a true vertical pano. Very nicely done.>=))>

Beautiful treatment of the subject Ram and I love the bg. I like Bill's idea for a tighter crop as well but it's a toss up in my mind. I'd say this is perfect as posted. If you cropped it, I'd say that was perfect too. (smile)

Must be the steroid fertilizer Ram :jump: I have no idea really how this happened but it is a unique and very fine image. I love the contrasting colour palette of the two calla blooms and the BG is just wonderful for them.

Ram:
This looks unusual to me, like a conjoint twin; does not matter really because the photography is beautiful. The bg is exceptional.

Beautiful shot Ram. The colors are superb and I especially like the patches of orange in the background. Wonderful detail and overall comp. Nicely done!

I've had a few Callas, and I've never seen this before Ram. Great photo of a unique subject that looks a little challenging to compose!
