Karin, I like that you got both cheetahs' eyes in the shot. There's a nice contour created by the overlap... I wonder if it would be emphasized more if the image were cropped a bit from the right (though I think I understand why you chose this crop with the background cat sloping away).

I like the way the face of the distant cheetah is 'cradled' by the one in the foreground. But, why ISO 1600? It couldn't have been very dark, because you've managed to capture this at 1/1600s.

Well done putting together this tight composition. I'm okay with the bright background, if it were darker the subjects would blend in too much. It also speaks to the heat of the environment. Perfect dof, but I too am a little surprised at the high iso, were you concerned with unpredictable movements of a vehicle perhaps?

Thank you all !
@ Ajit & Gary: about the ISO1600: the reason is fairly trivial I must admit: In fact there were three cheetah brothers moving around. Two of them had just been lying down when I took this shot, while the other was constantly on the move and rather close to the jeep. Since all this action was going on in the shade I had a high ISO on, but I certainly must admit that it was not necessary for this particular shot at all. I was just too busy keeping an eye on those three youngsters, that I forgot to switch the ISO for this shot. Best regards, Karin.
