Hi Angela,
I like this one a lot. That bg looks like an artist's canvas, and are a nice complement to the bird. Cool perch and nice head turn on the bird. I'm sure someone won't like the branch to the left, but it is a part of the real scene, so doesn't bother me at all. Well done all the way around.
......and thanks for your kind words...

Angela, a really nice image. Great exposure, detail and a beautiful background. Nice head turn to really give a view of the eye.

Angela, the perch, background and overall composition of this image is just terrific. I love his big eye looking right at us and his scrawny legs. I only wonder if a little detail could be brought out in the white patch on the top of his head.

Love it Angela and wouldn't change a thing! BTW, I witnessed my first sitting in Colorado, but haven't managed a good shot of her yet. It is only the 40th time in Colorado history of a confirmed YCNH sitting!

Wonderful composition with the background and perch to give a different view of a heron, well seen and well done.
