I have a family nesting nearby and it has been fun watching them. This is the female.

Very nice photo. It looks like you caught her right before she took off. I like this pose, the BG works well helps the colors of the WP stand out more. Nice and sharp. It is a bit light for my taste, but that is just me. Thanks for sharing.

Fine looking image Sharon. Great pose, perch and background. I might try and take down the highlights a little, some hot spots on the tree starting to show.

Really nice pose, great colours, and complimentary BG.
Looks like a pretty large crop, as the detail is a little soft in the larger version.
You might dampen the hotter spots on the stump a bit.
Great catch!

Very nice, Sharon. Excellent detail in the Woodpecker. I might try to mitigate the bright areas on the perch.

Really nice pose of the bird and I like the way the light is falling on her face. Good detail in the feathers on the larger image and you can see both colors in the eye-which is excellent. I would give her a little more to look into on the left.

Wonderful pose and look from the woodpecker and I like the complimentary background, some bright areas on the tree trunk as others have mentioned but a fine shot as is, well done.

Great pose with an outstanding view of the eye, Sharon. I agree it is a bit light: if you lowered exposure and increased contrast a bit I bet you could bring out even more detail.
